Real Adulting 101 - Digital Marketing Strategy

PROJECT DESCRIPTION/DESCRIPTION DU PROJET: Real Adulting 101 is looking for students to help with the execution of our Public Relations strategy. This will include researching reporters and companies that tend to highlight companies similar to ours, work with our marketing team to develop a pitch package (design, copywriting, editing and more) and sending out individualized emails and outreaches to the researched companies/journalists. They will also be responsible for researching groups in alignment with our target audience for us to connect with (student unions, school clubs, etc.) via our email marketing software and strategy. 30 hours will be dedicated to ongoing research to develop a list of public relations to connect with (journalists, bloggers, news opportunities and groups in alignment with our target audience such as school clubs, etc.). 15 hours will be dedicated to helping with the development of the pitch package. This will include working with the CEO on copywriting and working with the marketing team to design the package in our branding using Canva. They will do most of the design and you will be ensuring that all information is clear and readily available. 15 hours will then be dedicated to outreach to the researched journalists. This will include using our pitch email template, personalizing emails based on the company/individual we are connecting with and then following up when we don't hear from them. 10 hours will be dedicated to a similar outreach process as outlined above, this time to the above mentioned groups with our target audience (school clubs, student unions, sororities, young adult groups, etc.). The final 10 hours will be dedicated to meetings and mentorship. Final deliverables would include a list of 60 public relations opportunities to connect with in alignment with our audience, a pitch package co-develoepd with other RA101 team members, and 30 outreach emails sent. Basically, anything topic you think a young adult could benefit from having more guidance and education in. Some of our courses so far include Investing, Budgets, Real Estate, Sustainability, Home Organization, Therapy, Dealing with Rejection and several more. Depending on the length of the courses (how many lessons are included for the course), there may be time allotted for the development of a course. Courses are created in three steps: Course Curriculum (40% of time, approximately 32 hours) This includes creating the course that you are going to teach. You may include statistics, research, etc. We like to approach teaching simply so that everybody can understand. We do not assume that people have any base understanding of these subjects to begin with. Courses are broken down into bite sized lessons (video lessons to be 3-15 minutes). We encourage each lesson to come with an actionable step when applicable (journaling prompt, setting a routine to try, checking your credit score, making a goal associated to the learning, tracking past expenses, etc.). Developing Presentation (15% of time, approximately 12 hours) This is the visual presentation to accompany your video lessons. We have branded templates for you to develop your presentation off of. We find that visuals/text help our members learn easier and feel engaged by the lesson rather than just a talking head. Filming (35% of time, approximately 28 hours) We suggest zoom, loom or Canva Present as you go through your presentations and make each 3-15 minute video lesson. You do not have to have incredible, high end technology but we do ask that you have a mic that is clear and audible and video that is is clear and not distracting. We will also walk you through best tips on presenting on video. Real Adulting 101 - Digital Marketing Strategy

PROJECT DESCRIPTION/DESCRIPTION DU PROJET: Real Adulting 101 is looking for students to help with the graphic design of educational social videos (reels & Tiktoks) and the development of blogs. Additionally, depending on the level of these students' education, we would be interested in potentially discussing them developing either an Interpersonal Communications or a Professional Writing course. Real Adulting 101 is an online, membership platform platform for adult education based in Kelowna but serving Canada and the USA. We are launching February 4 with over 20 courses.
